University city of Cambridge
Cambridge – home of the world renowned University – offers great opportunities for making the most of a delegate’s down time, or indeed as a leisure destination in itself.
As a visitor to The Møller Centre, we can help guests make the most of their stay in this exciting city, whether you’ve got an hour or a weekend to spare.
There is so much to do in Cambridge – from guided walking tours of the City, chauffeured punting along the College Backs, inspirational museums and art galleries; spotting the stars of the future at a student theatrical production, or see a show at the Arts Theatre. Film, live music of all kinds, poetry readings, public lectures - enter into the intellectual life of the students while you are here.
We can also arrange private visits to the Churchill Archives Centre, the British and Commonwealth Memorial to Sir Winston Churchill. The archives house the papers of Sir Winston Churchill and the first female prime minister of the United Kingdom, Baroness Thatcher, as well as many other eminent politicians, scientists and engineers.
For the sports minded, visits to Newmarket races and its famous stud and museum can be organised; or visit Duxford Imperial War Museum, Europe’s premier air museum, with examples of WWII planes, Concorde; and where flights in Tiger Moths can be arranged. Alternatively, there are numerous golf courses within the vicinity together with a wide range of other sporting activities.
Whatever your interests, and time available, we will be happy to advise and put a tailored programme together.
In the meantime, for more options click on the Additions link on the right, or visit the Cambridge information websites.
