The Møller Centre in Cambridge has recently received several awards for its facilities, service and on-going commitment to quality improvement.
At the recent Meetings & Incentive Travel Gala Awards, The Møller Centre was awarded Gold for Best UK Management Training Centre. This follows hard on the heels of Training Venue of the Year – World of Learning Awards; Learning Facility of the Year (Silver Award) – Institute of IT Training; Best Customer Service Team & Best Conference Team – Conference Cambridge Awards.
The Meetings & Incentive Travel Awards are based on the votes of clients and are audited by the Audit Bureau of Circulation. Mark Carberry, Sales and Marketing Manager, accepting the award on behalf of The Møller Centre said “We are absolutely delighted to win this award, to have been voted as the Best UK Management Training Venue by the people who matter most, our customers.”
Each of these awards emphasise that it is the quality of the facilities and the staff that make a venue successful. The Møller Centre has identified a number of key elements that enables them to consistently improve on service levels and customer satisfaction. These are staff training and engagement, investing in the facilities and benchmarking the organisation.
To fulfil these elements, The Møller Centre always has an annual capital investment programme for upgrading facilities and technical capability, this ensures that clients have the solutions they require. For the majority of clients, however, it is the staff that make the vital difference, and here The Møller Centre invests heavily in ensuring that the staff are able to perform to their utmost at all times. The resulting commitment and engagement of staff is clear with a significantly below average staff turnover rate for this sector.
Anthony Lishman, Executive Director of Conference Centres of Excellence and a member of the World of Learning judging panel said: “There is growing recognition within the training sector that specialist conference venues are best suited to optimising the effectiveness of training events. There can be no doubt that the Møller Centre is at the very forefront of its field, and the judging panel was thoroughly impressed.”
On hearing the news, Gillian Holdom, Director of The Møller Centre said “We are absolutely thrilled to have won this award. The finalists are all top-class venues and we feel deeply grateful to our customers for their loyal support and for voting for us. All of these awards acknowledge our world class training facilities and are a tribute to the professionalism of our staff; the depth of their understanding of the specific needs of our clients and their commitment to delivering exceptional service all day, every day.”
"I have to say that, not only were the facilities excellent; but the staff just could not do enough to meet our requirements."
